About our sunroom contractor business in Colton

Sunroom addition with white exterior walls, large windows and a curved garden bed beside a green lawn.

How a sign maker ended up building sunrooms

I ran a small sign shop for years before I ever built a sunroom. I learned this trade by working alongside an experienced installer until I could run the jobs myself, and in 2013 I started Sunbeam Colton Sunrooms & Patios here in Colton. Since then we've built and remodeled sunrooms, patio rooms and covers, mostly for homeowners who want more use out of a patio, a deck or an older room that isn't working for them.

We're best known for slowing down. I'll ask how you'll really live in the room and go over the same point as many times as it takes, because I want you to understand what you're paying for before you sign. A room that fits your days matters more to me than selling you the biggest one, and with the San Jacinto fault zone running through Colton, so does a room that starts on a sound base. When you're ready to talk it through, our contact page is the quickest way to reach me.

What working with us is like

  • You talk with the owner from the first visit

I come out myself to look at the job and give the estimate, and I leave real time for your questions. Our crew does the building, but you'll understand every choice before they start.

  • We check the base and the roof joint first

Before we talk about windows or finishes, we look at your patio, deck or slab and at where the new roof will join your house. Those two things decide whether your room starts on a sound base, so we settle them before anything else.

  • Your estimate says what's in and what isn't

Your written estimate spells out what's in the job and what's left out, like insulation or added heating and cooling. That way you can set it next to another quote and compare them fairly.

Licenses that cover work on your house

Serving Colton Since 2013

  • California contractor license

Licensed and insured. The state's Contractors State License Board licenses contractors in California, and its rules cap a home improvement down payment at $1,000 or 10 percent of the contract price, whichever is less, with later payments listed in the contract and tied to work done or materials delivered.

  • City of Colton business license

Anyone working inside Colton city limits needs a city business license, and a building permit only gets its final approval once every contractor on the job holds one. When your project needs a permit, we confirm which building office covers your address, prepare the plans, handle the paperwork and set up the inspections.
